DRESS CODE

St. Sylvester Central has a dress code which encourages good order within the school and reduces competition. The dress code results in lower clothing cost for parents and thereby reducing the cost of religious education.

Students must always strive to be and are expected to be well groomed, neat and modest in their appearance. Students are to wear their uniform attire in a manner consistent with good taste and decency. A slip will be sent home to the parents concerning dress code violations. Upon receiving three violations, a student will receive in school detention. After receiving five violations, the student will receive after school detention. See form in Appendix.

The administration will provide "non-uniform" days for students and set forth the standard of dress on said days. However, any obscenities displayed on any clothes or any jeans or pants with holes, and not fitting properly (over or undersized) will result in disciplinary action.
